The Costa Ballena, or “Whale Coast”, is a truly untouched part of Costa Rica that only few have come to explore.
Take your pick of beaches: Uvita Beach, Ballena & Arco, Piñuela, Ventanas, Dominical and Hermosa Beach.
And with 35km of Pacific coastline known for migrating Humpback Whales, don’t be surprised if you find yourself blissfully alone on the sands.
Every day we offer complimentary beach shuttles for our guests.
And any time you hit the beach, we’ll provide you with ice water and towels. We also have portable beach chairs available and we can even pack a picnic for you!
So walk the length of the famous Whale’s Tail at low tide. Grab an ‘agua de pipa’ (coconut water) and enjoy the people watching at Playa Hermosa.
Or perhaps take a surf lesson in our warm waters. Beach bliss is just a short drive from Kura.
